With a history of more than 230 years, the family has been prosperously carrying its reputation of being the pioneers in coffee plantations. Known as one of the most respectable families of the Chikmagalur, they are into coffee cultivation since 1860. The plantations are currently taken care by the fifth and sixth generation. They are warm hosts for every guest visiting here.

Huge houses built around open to sky central court which was always filled with lot of activities – Children playing around, women folks drying the grains or mangoes for making pickles, old people relaxing in the verandah.
